Administrative impact on construction works: everyone is at risk
Crises and
post-crisis stagnation in construction are over: Ukraine is in the process of
construction. The building sector’s potential for development is increasing as well
as the quantity of people who want to invest into the commercial construction
process. But the realization of this potential for development depends a lot on
the degree of an administrative impact of the state and local authorities.
How essential is the administrative impact on
construction process and how to reduce the risk of interference? These matters were
analyzed in the research: “CONSTRUCTION
IN UKRAINE: ADMINISTRATIVE IMPACT ON CONSTRUCTION WORKS” by Dmytro Symanov and Olena Zaitseva, experts of Cai &
Lenard Law Firm.The research
is aimed at the identification of powers of the state and local authorities
that are able to hinder the construction process, determination of the basis
for interference and risk assessment.
“It is hard
to overestimate a significance of this industry for the overall economical
structure of every developed country. One workplace in the building sector
creates up to 20 workplaces in the adjacent sectors. This research shows the
risks related to administrative impact the investors may face and the ways of
the risks’ minimization,” Dmytro Symanov, one of the research’s authors,
mentioned.
