How to protect yourself from inspections and searches
Several dozens of controlling and legal enforcement authorities operate in Ukraine. Even small and medium enterprises deal with 4 to 12 authorities that are entitled to conduct an inspection or make a search.
For the entrepreneurs the important issues are: to know how to react properly to the requests of the tax and other controlling authorities, to be able to refuse them in case of misconduct, to understand how to behave in the process of inspection or search. The tips on acting throughout the entire process, from the first notice of the controlling authority about inspection to the final inspection act (report) and the appeal of a tax decision, can be found in Cai & Lenard’s new self-learning guide “Inspections of Controlling and Legal Enforcement Authorities: Company’s Office Safety Provisions”.
The Guide’s table of contents:
I. Controlling authorities inspections: general issues
II. Tax inspections
III. Inspections carried out by the authorities of the State Labour Inspection of Ukraine
IV. Inspections carried out by the authorities of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
V. Software usage inspections
VI. Prosecutor’s inspections, requests and summons
VII. Law enforcement authorities’ visits
VIII. Contacts with the law enforcement authorities in criminal proceedings
